From Region 14’s Heartbeat, February 2016 –
After an eight-month search, the newly chartered Georgia Sensation Chorus has selected Steve Dorn as frontline director and Music Team leader. Steve is a longtime barbershopper and well-known in the BHS world.
As director of the BHS Lake Lanier Chapter, experienced quartet member, presentation judge, and member of several award-winning choruses, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to his first-time foray as a Sweet Adelines International (SAI) director.
Although this will be his first SAI directorship, he has been a long-time supporter of local women’s choruses as a coach, fan, and tagmaster. Steve just could not resist the draw after then Prospective Georgia Sensation appeared on two recent North Georgia Barbershop Singers’ shows. In his “non-singing” career, he is a supply chain expert with decades of consulting and project management experience with companies like AT&T and Cox Communications. His most treasured titles, however, are husband, and father to three adorable children.
The Chorus is delighted that Steve has accepted the challenge of building a new chapter and looks forward to his musical leadership.
